Stargate Database is an unofficial, non-profit fan archive.
The project
The French magazines “Stargate SG-1” and “Stargate Atlantis, la collection en DVD” were sold at newsstands in the mid-2000s, together with the DVDs of the series. They have long been out of print, their publisher has ceased trading, and the issues have become hard to find.
This site preserves them and makes them readable, as a community archive: so that fans can find what they once read, look up an episode, a character or a ship, and so that readers who do not speak French can access them too. The pages are scanned from the site author’s own copies.
There are no ads, no subscriptions, no donations and no downloads of the issues. The site earns nothing for anyone.
Rights
Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe are protected trademarks and works: ™ & © MGM (Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc., MGM Global Holdings Inc., MGM Television Entertainment Inc.). This site is not produced, endorsed or supported by MGM or Amazon MGM Studios.
The magazines, their texts and their photos belong to their rights holders: the publisher GE Fabbri Ltd (taken over by Eaglemoss, which ceased trading in 2022), MGM and the photo agencies credited in each issue. The English version of the pages is an unofficial fan translation.
The site claims no rights over this content. Other content is credited to its source:
- episode synopses: Wikipedia (CC BY-SA 4.0 licence) and TVmaze (CC BY-SA licence), with a link to each source; these synopses remain under the same licence;
- episode images and series photos: © MGM, via TVmaze;
- Making-of: posts by Joseph Mallozzi on X, each linked to the original; images and videos © MGM and the credited artists;
- Communities: each community’s own description, quoted word for word with its source, and its logo.
Takedown requests
Do you hold rights to content on this site and want it removed? Write to contact@stargatedatabase.link, giving the page address and the content concerned. It will be removed within 48 hours, no questions asked.
For anything else (an error, a missing credit, a correction), use the same address.
Legal notice
Publisher: a private individual, on a non-professional basis. As French law allows (loi n° 2004-575 du 21 juin 2004, LCEN), their identity is not published; it is known to the hosting provider.

Privacy
No accounts, no ads. Fonts, images and videos are served by this site.
Analytics: the site uses Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd) to count visits and pages read (page, referring site, device, approximate country or city). Google sets cookies for this (“_ga”), kept for 13 months at most, and the data may be processed in the United States. It is only used to know what is read on the site: no ads, no resale, no Google advertising signals. To opt out, block cookies for this site or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
The site also stores your language (a “sgdb-lang” cookie) and a few display preferences in your browser. Only the language cookie is read by the server, to send you to the right version.
Like any web server, this one keeps a technical log of visits (IP address, page requested, date, browser), kept for 14 days for server security, then deleted. For any request about your data: contact@stargatedatabase.link.
